Ingredients
- 2 ¼ cups water
- 1 whole star anise
- 1 inch ginger
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 4 cardamom pods
- ¼ cup loose black tea
- 2 cups whole milk
- ¼ cup sugar
Method
- Crush ginger and cardamom. Bring the water, tea, star anise, cinnamon, ginger and cardamom to a boil.
- Boil for 3-5 minutes until the tea is reduced to about 2 cups. Add the sugar, milk and stir well and reduce the flame.
- Let it sit for 2 minutes and switch off the stove.
- Strain and serve hot.
1. Spices can be added according to your taste.
2. Sugar can be increased and decreased according to your taste.
